Happy Friday, friend! I’m gearing up for a 10 hour work day today…
I haven’t had a long day like that in a while, and honestly didn’t expect that to ever happen again once I transitioned to PRN only. The day is split between 2 buildings that are very close to each other – and the company plus both of the Rehab Directors are great, so I can’t complain.
I shared on Instagram Stories the other day how much I appreciate the blend of short-term rehabilitation and long-term care residency that we experience when working in the SNF setting. Though I’m strictly working PRN, I’ve been spending most of my time at one building in particular – so I’ve been able to build some really great rapport with the short-term rehab Patients there.
It’s been so great to get to follow some of these Patients through most of their continuum of care, plus work with many of the long-term care Residents. I’m really happy with my current PRN schedule, but I do miss that continuum of care.
Pros and cons of PRN, I suppose.
Anyways, I’ll be powering through this 10 hour day! If you missed out on anything from this week, I’ve got it all compiled here.
