This has been such an emotional week, let me tell ya!
This Monday was my last day working at the facility that I’ve been working at since I started as a new grad in 2017. In it’s time, this facility had the world’s BEST rehab team (no debate!) and was truly the perfect and most supportive setting for me to develop my clinical skills in as a new grad.
But over time, the team has changed, the management as changed, and it’s the right time to move away from a routine schedule there.
My sweet husband took me out to dinner on Monday night to celebrate all that I’ve been able to do there and what God has next for our careers and our life moving forward.
Tuesday evening, I grabbed dinner with 2 other therapists from that original rehab team who both still work in the area. They have become dear friends to me, and it was such as sweet & special time.
Change is always hard for me, but these are good changes.
I’d love to hear your experiences with leaving a long-term job. I feel like it’s always such a mix of emotions, even if the change is good.
If you missed out on anything from this week, or are looking for some fun ways to connect to the OT community, I’ve got it all compiled here.
