I’m starting at a new-to-me building on Monday, and I’m pretty excited! I love the current buildings that I work in, and this new one will simply be in addition to the current schedule I have.
This puts me back to a consistent 4 days a week of scheduled PRN work in the SNF setting, which is great! Now don’t get me wrong, I love having time at home, flexibility in my schedule, and the extra time to work on creating educational and helpful resources for others. But it’s nice to treat a good variety of Patients and Residents to keep my skills fine-tuned, you know?
In light of a busy week ahead, we’ve got a pretty relaxed weekend planned. Tomorrow will be a total rest day, and then we’re attending a cookout on Sunday afternoon following our church gathering in the morning.
What are your plans for this weekend?
If you missed out on anything from this week, or are looking for some fun ways to connect to the OT community, I’ve got it all compiled here.

Some Great Therapy Products:
In yesterday’s post I shared these lightweight shoes and honestly I keep thinking about them. I think these are going to be the shoes I start recommending to families who need something quick and budget-friendly! (as an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases)
Not a therapy product, but if you’re in need of a Father’s Day card (or any greeting card), I’ve recently started following @paperbyjaney and her cards are so so cute! You can browse her entire inventory here.
Someone to Follow if You Don’t Already:
@ducksfordementia – I just about squealed when I discovered this account on Instagram! David has unfortunately experienced dementia in his loved one’s from a very young age, and has set a goal to deliver toy ducks to Memory Care Facilities in all 50 states to raise money and awareness for Alzheimer’s disease! How cute is this idea?
@thedementiaguru – Ashely is a dementia and ageism educator who provides great content and information to help us all shift our perspective when working with individuals over the age of 65 😉
Have a great weekend!
