Welp, Happy First Day of September!
Can I tell you a little something? This time last year, we were stuck at home with the ‘vid. We thankfully fared just fine, but the timing was honestly super inconvenient (not than any other time would have been convenient…).
Well now, in this season, we’ve seen an influx of positive cases in our community. So we’re back to wearing all the PPE and trying our best to stay healthy. Thankfully, we’ve remained healthy and we’ve got a fun-filled long weekend ahead.
But it seems every time a Resident tests positive, I get this wave of emotions. Panic. Fear. Distress. Anxiety. I’m no doctor, but I honestly think there’s a little bit of a trauma response after working in inpatient care through all of 2020. And yes, I’m absolutely grateful to have maintained employment throughout the full duration of the pandemic. But working in healthcare through that entire season has changed me forever.
Anyways….
If you missed out on anything from this week, or are looking for some fun ways to connect to the OT community, I’ve got it all compiled here.
