A Progress Note on My Own Summer Bucket List

Summer is coming to a close. Let’s see how we actually did with our Bucket List:

professionally…

  1. Pursue more outdoor options for treatment sessions: This actually did happen, there were several sessions spent outside by the garden that the Residents had planted in June. We may have even swiped a few cherry tomatoes when no one was looking!
  2. Create more Treatment Planning and Documentation Kits to share with you: this is still in the works, and admittedly carrying over into my Fall Bucket List… if you’ve got thoughts on what would be the most helpful to you, I’d love to know!
  3. Collaborate with other therapist/creators to share all the knowledge and further learn from/support one another: we did this! I gave a guest lecture with The Note Ninja’s all about documenting evaluations and treatments for Residents on The Memory Unit and it was such a fun time! Stay tuned for more collaborations.
  4. Move my own body 2-3 times per week, intentionally, to better care for and assist my Residents and Patients each day: I got some good momentum with this one, but the summer can be hard to keep up, and my migraines are the worst in the summer months so I’m hoping to get back into a groove this fall
  5. Get the bulk of my CEUs done for my license renewal at the end of the year (I’ve been using ContinuED): for the first time in my career, all of my CEUs are done BEFORE December!!!!

personally…

  1. Take a New Hampshire road trip to somewhere new: we took several road trips this summer in search of the best mini golf course in NH and I think we found a favorite in Wolfeboro!
  2. Perfect our lavender lemonade recipe: after many various lemonade trials, I think the classic old-fashioned recipe with a splash of lavender syrup is our favorite!
  3. Try a new local ice cream shop (if you’ve been around, we completed the NH Ice Cream Trail last year and want to try at least one new stop from this year’s trail): we tried more than one AND visited a few favorites from last year
  4. Go on a family vacation: a week in Maine for the 4th of July and it was magic!
  5. Eat a whole lobster by the ocean: Boothbay Harbor, you were a dream!
  6. Start attending a small group with members of our church: perhaps the best thing from our personal bucket list, and we’re so thankful!

I’d love to hear more about your summer!
