We “fall back” this weekend as Daylight Savings comes to a close for the year. Can I tell you something? Something that’s probably a bit controversial? I love Daylight Savings. I love when it starts, and I especially love when it ends. It’s like a reset for my morning routine.
I’m one of those rare people who feel more energized and more like myself throughout the winter. I’m motivated. I’m rested. I’m rejuvenated. I love the fall/winter months (except for driving in the snow).
This work-week was filled with lots of fun, and much colder temperatures. Celebrating Halloween as a goniometer this year was exciting for me and confusing for the Residents and staff. But it created a great opportunity to share and educate a little more about the role of OT in skilled nursing.
On Wednesday I took some time to decorate our home for November. Something about me is that I love having seasonally appropriate decor. So no Christmas trees yet. Instead, I’ve got mums of muted tones, white pumpkins, and vintage-style turkeys to create a warm and cozy space that’s ready for the season of harvest.
But not to worry, I am thinking about Christmas shopping and a few Memory Unit Gift Guides will be headed your way this month!
